Great Whipsnade Railway ‘Brake / Presenter Carriage’

One of three kits within our range, representing vehicles from the Great Whipsnade Railway at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, this vehicle is a 16mm scale model of the ‘Presenter Carriage’ which also acts as a Brake Vehicle. As the train makes its journey around the enclosures, a ‘presenter’ gives a talk via a PA system, discussing on the animals that can be seen en-route. The vehicle also features a wheelchair accessible compartment immediately behind the presenter, as well as a single, traditional seating bay all of which are represented in the kit.

-Laser cut in MDF or Plywood

-Proven ‘Hidden Slot and Tab’ construction for easy, accurate construction.

– Detailed both internally and externally, including fully modelled seating, engraved rivet and panel detail and handbrake standard.

-Complete with bogie frames, Binnie Engineering Wheels and Axles as well as HGLW Oil Filled Bronze Bearings

-Stainless Steel Roof Stanchions Pre-Cut to correct lengths

– Can be built to 32 or 45mm gauge as standard

– Whilst these kits are not supplied with couplings as standard, SLR Models produce a 3D printed ‘dummy chopper’ coupling for this kit, that will be available directly from them.
