RNAD Bogie Flat Wagons

These bogie flat wagons were built for use at RNAD sites, transporting various munitions from the Standard Gauge Interchange to the various workshops and magazines. Many survived into preservation at various locations and whilst some remain in original condition, some have donated their underframes, to be rebuilt with other body work. In RNAD service some of these vehicles featured removable end bulkheads, whilst others had a more substantial fixed bulkhead. As such, four versions of this kit are available to represent them in various conditions although not all are illustrated here (Please specify at time of ordering).

– No Bulkheads Fitted (Not Illustrated)

– As preserved at the Great Whipsnade Railway with Modified Bulkheads (Not Illustrated)

Whilst these vehicles would make natural companions to the other RNAD vehicles in our range, they are actually quite substantially sized at 395mm over the headstocks. However, much like their full-size counterparts, they are more than capable of traversing small radius curves, and will easily negotiate a 2ft 6in radius.  As such, these vehicles ought to look at home on just about any garden railway.

Markings

These vehicles carried their markings in several different styles and as such lettering is not provided in the kit. However, ‘Endon Valley Decals’ produce an appropriate decal pack which can be purchased directly from them
